Taking Photos and Videos Onboard

Guests are permitted to take photos and videos onboard the cruise and during performances with small, non-professional digital cameras and cell phones, at times, dependent upon the artist. Professional quality cameras with detachable lenses and video specific cameras are strictly prohibited in performance venues. Out of respect for our performers and your fellow guests, we ask that you please NOT use a flash during shows.

Also, please be respectful of the artists when they are out and about on board the ship between performances. This is a working vacation for them and if they are constantly mobbed, they may run away and hide in their cabins … and nobody wants that!

This policy is actually no different than it has ever been, we have just restructured how we are communicating information because there have been some problems. This is a multi-tiered issue.

First of all, while there are several bands that don’t have any problem with fans using any camera of their choice, many of the larger, more well-known bands have strict policies regarding photography at their shows.

Second, Royal Caribbean has policies about photographing their logo, their staff, etc.

Therefore, only Royal Caribbean photographers will be allowed to use professional level photography equipment on board. RCI’s photographers will be working with NAHA to provide band and crowd shots as well as their standard cruise photography.

You are certainly welcome to bring a camera, you just cannot use a professional-style camera during the shows.  If you have a professional-style camera that you would like to bring on board for scenery shots (such as while in port), etc., please feel free to do so, but be VERY CAREFUL about where and how you take pictures on board the ship.  If you are found using a professional camera somewhere where you should not be, you will be asked to leave that area immediately – even if it is a show venue.

You’re not here to work – you’re here to ENJOY!  So your best bet is to bring a small non-professional digital to snap whatever memories you wish, but leave the professional cameras at home.

What Passengers Think

We’ve been on cruises before, but this one was so different and so much fun! Leave your dressy clothes at home. Pack your concert T-shirts and you’re good to go. The music is top notch and yes they still sound great!! I feel like it was a once in a lifetime experience (unless I go again).

Kris, Bucket List Kris, Bucket List

My wife and I will NEVER MISS The Rock Legends Cruise. We make at least a 2 week vacation out of it, driving down from Cleveland. Pam and the staff at NAHA do an incredible job every year. Whenever we think it can’t get any better than this, it does. It’s a RocknRoll Fantasy. Love to all.
