About Chappell
In 2014 father and son joined forces to cultivate a sound that could only be created through loss, struggle and the love of rhythm. Chris Pyle and his father Artimus Pyle, drummer of Lynyrd Skynyrd (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2006) have come together to form Chappell…whose music can only be described as Southern Fried Tribal Boogie!!
Chris worked as his father’s Drum Tech on the Skynyrd Tribute Tour, drummed for Royal Trux and traveled through India and Africa absorbing the roots of rhythm. After years of drumming for multiple working bands Chris has stepped out front to sing his songs. The heart of Chappell’s music comes from his unique perspective of growing up in the trenches of rock and roll to dodging Molotov cocktails in Jerusalem, Israel.
