Conveniently located in the heart of Broward County, Port Everglades is easily accessible by car, taxi, bus, train, and ship. It is the only port in the nation located adjacent to an airport, making it easy to fly and cruise on the same day. From Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Port Everglades, the average taxi fare is $18 – $21 (taxi rates are subject to change without notice).
Port Everglades has three entrances:
- SE 17th St., located at Eisenhower Blvd.
- State Road 84, located just east of U.S. 1, located at Spangler Blvd.
- I-595 East, located at Eller Dr.
Each entrance has a security checkpoint where cruise guests and visitors ages 18 and older are required to provide the following:
- Government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport)
- Cruise documents
No weapons are allowed on port property and vehicles are subject to search in accordance with Florida State Statute 311.12(3b).

How much time should I allow for travel between the Airport and Port Everglades?
Although it is a short distance we recommend allowing 45 minutes if you are flying into the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), which includes:
- claiming luggage at the airport
- boarding transportation to the port
- checking baggage curbside at the cruise terminal
- going through security at the cruise terminal
The Miami International Airport is a 35 to 45 minute drive from Port Everglades. So you should plan for 70 to 90 minutes to go through the transfer process.

Port Everglades has on-site parking for cruise guests with two parking garages and several parking lots totaling over 5,500 spaces. The port does not accept reservations or pre-payment for parking.
There is special limited parking for oversized vehicles (maximum of 24 feet) such as RVs, trailers, and other vehicles that exceed the maximum height for accessing the upper floors of our parking garages. Call SP Plus Parking at 954-468-3680 for more details.

Parking Fees (garages and lots)
- $20 daily maximum
- $25 for oversized vehicles, daily maximum (Oversized vehicles are those that exceed the standard width and/or height of a parking space).
- $4 for 0 – 1 hour
- $8 for up to 5 hours, and fees for additional hours vary up to the daily maximum
All daily rates begin when you pull the parking ticket from the machine at the garage or parking lot.
