About Ugly Kid Joe
Ugly Kid Joe crashed into the mainstream in 1991 with the MTV favorite “Everything About You” lifted from the band’s multi-platinum-selling debut EP Ugly As They Wanna Be. This was followed up in 1992 with their multiplatinum album Americas Least Wanted yielding subsequent hits “Cats in The Cradle” and “Neighbor” cementing the band as a musical force to be reckoned with.
However, it was only after returning in 2012 after a lengthy 15-year hiatus that their true legacy has been cemented on the world’s stages. The band’s live performances are a celebration of both nostalgia and evolution resonating with fans old and new. More recent songs such as “I’m Alright,” “Devil’s Paradise,” and “That Ain’t Livin” now sit shoulder-to-shoulder as crowd favorites alongside those nostalgic 90s classics. Ugly Kid Joe’s ability to bring any crowd together by blending hard-hitting musicianship, humor, and crowd interaction all channeled through frontman Whitfield Crane’s charismatic presence has made them a must-see attraction at festivals around the world including Wacken, Hellfest, Bloodstock, Graspop, and Copenhell.
2022 saw the release of the band’s most recent album Rad Wings of Destiny which was met with praise from both critics and fans alike. The subsequent world tour finally brought the band back to the US for their first American tour in over 25 years, returning in 2024 for a month-long Las Vegas residency as special guests to Scorpions.
With their popularity continuing to grow, 2025 is set to be another banner year for Ugly Kid Joe with the release of new music and tour dates in place across the globe.
Their commitment to giving fans an unforgettable concert experience keeps their place in rock’s spotlight secure, making them one of the most beloved bands for live music enthusiasts.
